UK: Post hardcore band Fightstar celebrated their 10th anniversary with a series of grand performances around the UK, with LD Will Dart designing and operated an epic light show to match using an Avolites Tiger Touch Pro.
Dart networked his Tiger Touch Pro with a Titan Mobile as back up, noting that the setup was “completely solid, allowing me to concentrate on the show, without having to worry about the stability of the consoles.”
The tour comprising of 4 shows required completely different set ups for each venue. “Being able to easily modify the show each day made for a very stress-free environment, especially useful on the big finale at London’s O2 Brixton Academy,” says Dart.
Using a primarily Robe rig, the fixture list consisted of Beam 100's, Pointe, and LED 600's, with Martin Atomic 3000 and GLP Impressions to provide side light. All the fixtures and control were provided by Siyan.
The show was designed to reflect the dark and intense nature of Fightstar’s music. “We opted for very little front light but used the Pointe's excellent beam capabilities to really punch through when needed,” says Dart. “The Tiger Touch Pro handled every aspect of what we wanted to get out of the rig perfectly, with minimum fuss, which is exactly what I look for in my choice of console.”
